RLD Information

Clean water is something everyone cares about and non-point source pollution is something we all contribute to. A wise man once said, "If you are not a part of the solution, you are part of the problem."

The Conservation Districts, formed in the early 1930's, work with the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) to inform farmers and the urban community of conservation practices. A locally elected board of directors manages each Conservation District.

Through the years, the mission of Conservation Districts has evolved, but we are as committed as ever to fulfill our goal. Simply stated, Tri-County/City is committed to:

Our Mission

... to provide leadership, education and technical programs
to assist all resource users to conserve, sustain and improve soil,
water, and related resources.

Our Vision

... to be recognized as the community leader in focusing actionand establishing partnerships to achieve soil and water conservation.
